There’s a Whole World of Adventure Waiting at Summer Camp!

Registration remains open, but Baltimore Woods Nature Center is continuing to monitor the emerging recommendations surrounding operating a summer day camp in Onondaga County in light of COVID-19. As we’re sure many of you have seen by now, yesterday Governor Cuomo announced that summer day camps will be allowed to operate across New York State starting June 29. While this is a very positive announcement, there have not been COVID-19 specific health and safety requirements released at this time and there is a chance that we still may not be able to run our programs as planned. Our board and staff are working hard to navigate this challenging situation to be able to provide you with a clear answer on what our summer camp programs will look like, with our goal being to provide not only a safe experience but also one that provides your children with the positive impacts of being outside and exploring nature.

We anticipate making a formal decision on whether camp is running by Monday, June 8. We understand that not everyone will be comfortable sending their children to camp anywhere this summer, and we are working to provide alternative camp experiences for you and your child to participate in from home and keep your child’s love of the outdoors alive.

Thank you for your continued patience and your support of Baltimore Woods Nature Center!
