Yes, it’s back! We don’t do these very often, so come join us for this program! Do you have a telescope and are just not sure how to use it, or want to buy one but don’t know where to begin? Bring a scope if you have one, your questions if you don’t, and we will do the rest!
This two-hour workshop will go over all aspects of telescope set-up and use. Topics will include mounts, alignment, eyepieces and magnification, use of finder scopes, and even how to take pictures through a telescope. We should have a good view of the 1st-quarter moon, an easy target for beginners. We will start indoors, in the nature center, rain or shine, with a hands-on course of using your scopes, and if the sky is clear, we will end up outside doing some actual observing under the stars.
More details: This program is designed for ages 10 and up. Adult supervision is required for anyone under 18-years old. Space is limited. Online pre-registration is required.
