To schedule a birthday party at Baltimore Woods, please fill out and submit our Birthday Party Registration Form.

Details:

  • Once a date is booked, a $50 deposit is required to secure the date. Checks, credit cards, and cash are accepted. The remaining amount is due by the date of the party.
  • Birthday parties are limited to 15 participants. This number does not include adults or children ages 3 & under. If you are expecting up to 20 children, we may have an additional educator to lead the program depending on availability.
  • There must be at least 1 adult present at the party that will also attend the guided program. Accompanying adults are always encouraged.
  • Available rental spaces include the program room, pavilion and back deck. To learn more about these spaces, visit our Rental page.
  • Users may arrive 30 minutes prior to the program start time to set up. Please bring your own trash bags to remove any trash or debris at the end of the party.
  • Kitchen space available upon request to store refreshments.
  • Decorations: Decor is welcomed and must be removed at the end of the event. The following items are not permitted on-site: Balloons, confetti, pinatas, glitter (or similar).
  • Cancellation policy: To cancel a birthday party reservation, the contact person must notify the coordinator via email or over the phone at (315) 673-1350. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the scheduled party date are non-refundable.

Bug Bonanza
Spring & Fall

Enjoy the wonders of the “bug” world! Equipped with nets and insect containers, party goers get an up-close look into the insects that inhabit the fields and forests at Baltimore Woods

Woodland Fairies
Year-Round

The highly imaginative mind of a child is used as a stepping stone to the investigation of the living and non-living world of a woodland forest. Party goers will build fairy houses in an effort to lure the fairies that inhabit the woods.

Leaf Art
Spring & Fall

Explore the amazing world of trees. How do trees survive during the different seasons here in Central New York? Through an art project and a hike, discover the diversity and beauty of leaves.

Habitat Hunt
Year-Round

There are so many different types of habitats to discover at Baltimore Woods! We’ll learn about various animals and the specific places that they call home. Party goers will investigate these various habitats to find all the things that animals need to survive out in nature.

Salamander Roll
Spring & Fall

Learn the characteristics that make a salamander an amphibian and not a reptile. Hike through the woods and see how many salamanders you and your friends can find hiding under logs and rocks.

Pond Ecology
Spring & Fall

Equipped with nets at Philips Pond, party goers will learn about the many animals this special ecosystem supports from frogs to macroinvertebrates.

Nature’s Builders
Year-Round

Have you ever noticed how well engineered a beaver’s dam is? Party goers will go on a hunt for different materials found at Baltimore Woods and create their own structures out of natural materials.

Animal Tracking
Year-Round

Discover how to read the stories animals leave behind. The three P’s (place, pattern, print) tell us a story’s characters, setting and plot. On a guided hike through the woods, party goers will look for these in the snow or mud!

CSI at Baltimore Woods
Year-Round

There is a lot of activity going on at Baltimore Woods and we need your help to solve some mysteries! Party goers will learn about trace evidence, tracking, and how to identify animal skulls and what those animals eat by looking at their teeth. They’ll then investigate animal crime scenes and put their training to the test! Will they figure out who ate who?

Feathered Friends
Year-Round

Equipped with binoculars, party goers will learn all about birds, from how to use binoculars to identify them, search for nests and listen to their different calls.
