Searching for Spring Songbirds

Loading Events
Mid-May is the peak time to observe migrating spring songbirds here at Baltimore Woods. These beautiful little birds often travel on long journeys spanning continents to reach their nesting grounds. In this program, we will search for returning songbirds and learn more about where they travel and the habitats that they need throughout their migration. We will learn about how the land here at Baltimore Woods  is managed to help native birds thrive.
More details: This program is designed for adults. Space is limited. Online pre-registration is required. Depending on bird activity, we may follow the difficult Boundary Trail to Phillips’ Pond or on the more moderate Arboretum Trail and surrounding areas. Trail surfaces may include grass, loose soil and gravel, exposed roots, and steps. Please call ahead if you have mobility needs.
