This four-week series offers hands-on experiences in nature to supplement your science curriculum. Every Tuesday, we’ll meet up for a three hour program packed with experiments, activities, and outdoor exploration. Rain, snow, or sunshine – we will happily go outside! The cost is $40 for members; $60 for the public. Pre-registration is required and all four sessions are included in this price. Themes for each week are listed below.

Small But Mighty
June 1 from 1-4pm

Did you know that ants can lift over 50 times their body weight? Let’s learn about the little things in nature that are often overlooked. We’ll take a closer look at nature by investigating moss, rolling logs, and following ants.

June 8 from 1-4pm

What do voles, moles, foxes, and other furry animals have in common? They are all mammals! This week we will explore the lives of our furry friends through activities and games.

Nature’s Builders
June 15 from 1-4pm

Calling all budding builders! Today we will be busy as beavers, birds, and foxes with activities, crafts, and games to help us create and build just like our animal friends. Grab your hard hat, your imagination, and let’s get building!

Wonderful Water
June 22 from 1-4pm

It falls, it flows, it’s fun to play in! This week we will explore water through the eyes of what lives in it and how it acts around other things. Get ready to dive right into the world of water!
