Loading Events

At our Saturday Stewardship Work Day in November, we will be focusing on invasive species management. Fall is the perfect time to work on invasive species management. Nonnative shrubs can be identified year round and control in fall and winter is just as effective as in spring. Today, we will be working in a patch of nonnative shrubs that we have worked to control on and off over the past few years. This project will clean up new plants that have come in since last year and expand the area where we have removed these plants as well as seeding native species to make the work more long lasting. We will discuss invasive plant identification, multi year planning of invasive control projects, and how to implement them.
