Here’s another great chance to see something fascinating in the sky! We are just about in the midst of the maximum solar activity cycle, with the sun displaying large numbers of sunspots, flares, and prominences. Come view our nearest star up-close with specially-filtered solar telescopes that show the sun’s features in yellow, red, and blue light, each revealing specific details not seen in ordinary filtered scopes.

More details: This program is designed for ages 8 and up. Space is limited. Online pre-registration is required. This program will take place on generally flat ground with some light gravel and grass. The back-up date for this program will be August 18.
