Fill out the volunteer interest form online or visit the Interpretive Center to pick up a paper copy. After that, the volunteer coordinator will contact you shortly to help you start volunteering.
Volunteers must be 18+ to volunteer without an adult accompanying them. Individuals ages 14-18 may volunteer if an adult is with them at the volunteer event.
We have many different volunteer options that allow for flexibility. You can sign up to help out at a single special event like our Earth Day Celebration, commit to weekly volunteering like the front desk attendants, or somewhere in between.
Yes! Sign up for volunteering and let the volunteer coordinator know how many hours you need to complete and if there are any guidelines or deadlines to be aware of. After completion of volunteer hours, the volunteer coordinator can sign off on service hours.

No matter what you are doing each day, it is always a good idea to bring water. If special clothes or equipment are needed, a staff member will let you know what to bring prior to your volunteer shift. If you are going to be outside, please check the weather ahead of time and ensure you have proper clothing and footwear.
