Annual Memberships

  • Family – $40 per year (2 adults plus children under the age of 18 living in one household)
  • Individual – $30 per year
  • Senior/Student – $20 per year (Full-time students under the age of 21 and seniors 60+)

Lifetime Membership

  • Make a gift that lasts a lifetime! A one-time membership of $1,000 or more is directed to the Baltimore Woods Endowment Fund at the CNY Community Foundation and helps sustain the future of Baltimore Woods Nature Center. Lifetime Members are also added to a plaque in the John Weeks Interpretive Center, joining a community of over 90 Lifetime Members!

Baltimore Woods Nature Center is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting communities and nature in wisdom and wonder through place-based education and stewardship of the natural environment. The Baltimore Woods Preserve is open to the public 365 days a year with free access, making a real difference in providing a unique place to hike and connect with nature for over 25,000 Central New Yorkers each year.

Why become a Baltimore Woods member?

  • Being a member of the BWNC community means sharing access to nature, creating special opportunities for thousands of childen to explore through nature education programs like field trips and day camps, and promoting sustainable stewardship with others.
  • Your annual membership supports stewardship across the more than 270 acres of the Baltimore Woods Nature Center preserve including trail and facility maintenance, habitat restoration, facilitating programs and other educational opportunities, and specific projects like upgrades of the Fox’s Den Nature PlayScape.
  • Membership fees support keeping about seven miles of trails open for everyone to enjoy nature study, hiking, and quiet reflection, year-round environmental education programs for all ages.
  • Members also enjoy connection with BWNC’s leadership and staff in facilitating opportunities for people to build personal connections to nature.

Baltimore Woods is NOT a government agency, nor is it part of a town, county, state, or federal park system. We rely on the support of our members and donors to meet our mission every day. Baltimore Woods offers free access to trails and parking every day, and Membership helps support responsible stewardship of the entire preserve!
