Onondaga Lake offers a rich environment to observe wintering waterfowl, Bald Eagles, and other birds. We will visit the lakeshore in search of these feathered friends. Through getting to know local birds, we will enrich our knowledge of bird migration and learn about the importance of Onondaga Lake along birds’ journeys.
More Details: This program is for adults. Space is limited. Online pre-registration is required. This program may involve traveling to various birding locations by car, with the starting location TBD (this will be shared via email prior to the program). We will be traveling on relatively flat, paved pathways. Please be sure to dress in layers including a hat and warm gloves, as it can be very cold and windy in this area. Binoculars and spotting scopes will be available, or bring your own!
