Sketching offers a fascinating window into nature’s beauty and diversity. In this series for older children and adults, we will sharpen our observation skills with fun exercises to learn about proportions, shading, texture, and colors. All sketching materials are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer. We encourage attending multiple monthly sessions to build your skills, but this is not required.
In this session, we will sketch birds visiting our feeders through the window. We will also use taxidermy mounts and photos as references to learn about bird anatomy, feather groups, and tips for drawing birds in motion.
