Join us for this annual community event where we come together to give back, take action, learn, celebrate, and have a local impact on our planet TOGETHER!
Earth Day Celebration
April 18, 1 – 4pm
From 1:00-4:00pm, enjoy activities, games, informational booths, and more:
Visit with local partners like Onondaga Audubon, Detrash Syracuse, Repair Cafe CNY, and Cornell Cooperative Extension!
Get creative and make your own seed bombs, DIY Bird Feeders and other upcycled crafts!
Play games including the Clean Water Roundup, Hot in Here, and Earth Day favorite – the Bird Migration Obstacle Course!
Learn new skills including how to get involved with citizen science, identiying invasives in your yard, recyclying, and building backyard habitats!
Take a hike! Join one or more of the following guided hikes:
1:00 pm Woodland Wildflowers with Rose Burdick (for adults, wheelchair accessible)
2:00 pm Birds! Hike (for families, rolling terrain with grass)
Celebrate all things birds on this family-friendly walk that blends activity-based discovery and the joy of looking for birds.
3:00 pm Earth Appreciation Hike (for families, wheelchair accessible)
Share your appreciation for this beautiful planet by awakening your senses to everything happening around you in springtime.
