At this popular, once-a-year program we will give you one-on-one instruction on how to set up and use your own scopes (Yes, BRING THEM!). If you don’t have a scope, but want to get one, this program teaches you what to look for and the various options. Mount types, eyepiece magnification, tracking, etc., will all be covered. There will be a crescent moon in the sky making for an easy practice target. Also, Jupiter and Venus as well! We start early while it’s still light out so everyone can see the overview of telescopes we present, then turn our eyes to the sky. Backup date: 6/20/26
More Details: This program will be outdoors in our main parking lot that has a gravel surface. In case of rainy or cloudy weather, this program will be held indoors. This program is for ages 10+.Space is limited. Online pre-registration is required.
