Autumn leaves are celebrations of the change in the seasons, in nature, and in ourselves. Come explore the colorful lives of trees as they prepare for the oncoming winter. Together we’ll take a walk, make observations, and collect leaves. Later, we’ll gather to make nature art and compare your collections with leaves from your own neighborhood. Connect scientifically and creatively to the fantastic displays of autumn at Baltimore Woods!
This program is intended for children ages 5-10. Parents are not required to register but they must accompany their children throughout the program. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a few leaves from your own neighborhood to use for our craft. Arrive ready for an hour-long, moderate hike with rolling hills; the planned route is not suitable for strollers. Craft supplies will be provided.
At Baltimore Woods Nature Center, the health and safety of our staff and visitors is of utmost importance. All in-person programming will follow best practices for keeping our participants safe, including physical distancing and wearing facial coverings.
