Work days can be somewhat strenuous at times. Heavy rain will postpone the work day. These volunteer projects are for ages 14 and up. Participants 14-18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. SUMMARY:Earth Day Stewardship Project 2024
DESCRIPTION:Be a part of the annual Baltimore Woods restoration project to celebrate Earth Day! Join the Baltimore Woods Nature Center Stewardship Team to plant ~200 new shrubs to restore a secondary forest within a restoration fence. While the project will start at 9am\, you can feel free to arrive anytime during the work session and stay for some or all of the time.\n\nThis event has projects for all ages! Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.  Be sure to bring enough water\, closed toed shoes\, and tick deterrent of your choice. Dress accordingly\, as you will be working in muddy conditions. Parking directions will be emailed in advance of the work project. \nSign up to be a part of the Earth Day Stewardship Project!\nYou can also attend our free Earth Day community event in the afternoon. Learn more about the 2024 Earth Day Celebration at Baltimore Woods Nature Center!
