Then\, take home a delicious three-course dinner prepared by Chef Luke Szabo of Scratch Farmhouse Catering complete with dessert. Cost is $125/couple. DESCRIPTION:The November forest is full of surprises! Let’s take a walk around the Boundary Trail to see what’s happening in the woods. Along our bumble\, we’ll keep an eye out for birds\, mammals\, insects\, moss\, and anything else we find as the forest settles in for the coming winter. This program is intended for ages 11 and up. \nRemember to dress for the weather and potentially slippery trail conditions. This is a great time to compare the structure of trees in various habitats by sketching them. In this program\, we will explore the trails\, draw trees that we meet along the way\, and learn how field sketching can help to deepen our observation skills. DESCRIPTION:John Weeks always referred to the northernmost fields and forests of Baltimore Woods as “the back 40.” Come along for an exploration of this less-visited area to find the birds\, plants\, and ecosystems that make it special. This program includes a hike over gently rolling terrain and a couple of small hills. This program is for adults. \nRegister for Exploring the Back 40!\nAt Baltimore Woods Nature Center\, the health and safety of our staff and visitors is of utmost importance. All in-person programming will follow best practices for keeping our participants safe\, including physical distancing and wearing facial coverings.
